Hi All

have a late arrival into ORD and then a very early departure 2 days later.

i am thinking of booking 2 nights at the airport hotel, then:
- catch train into city for meetings (as peak traffic in taxi sounds a long prospect)

- have dinner in Chicago and cab back to airport hotel.

question is how noisy is the hotel, being within the airport itself/directly attached?

have stayed at LHR hotel and this was fine (Hyatt I think?)

Thanks in advance

Stayed here a couple of years ago when i missed a united connection due to a storm. No problems with noise. It is an airport hotel though with that depressing feeling emanating from tired travellers, so spend as much time in Chicago city as you can (lots of jazz bars to fill in the evenings!!).

Agree train would be better than taxi in peak hour - it's definitely faster as you zoom past the cars up above the freeway, and feels very safe at least during the day - although from memory a 10 minute shuttle from hotel to airport.

Thanks.

i understood that you could walk t the Hilton via an underground link??

i maybe wrong
