I completely missed this, stumbled across it on FT when searching for info on Chicago hiltons. I can't recall seeing anything on AFF, and in typical Hhonors incompent fashion did not see any emails on it.

Promo is a 1 free night certificate (for any HHonors property) for every 4 stays or 10 nights, up to a maximum of 3 free nights. Prepaid rates (such as Jan sale) excluded.

Need to register here, and more info on FT (although I haven't read all 548 posts or 37 pages on the topic.)

Is this similar to the Priority Club promotion where you forfeited your normal points to participate in their free night promotion?

I cannot be bothered reading those lengthy Flyertalk threads....

No, basically every four stays (or 10 nights) at non prepaid rates gets you a free stay certificate. This is in addition to normal HHonors/FF points.

No, prepaid rate (and almost all other) stays booked on a Hilton Family website or with Hilton Telephone Sales generally do Qualify.

Award stays do not.

Of course, pre-paid stays booked with 3rd party websites (such as expedia) do not qualify.

OK good to know.

I did read some posts of FT that suggested January sale rates did not qualify, and then some other about prepaid rates not qualifying, but gave up as the posts were getting longer and it was getting late ....

I've been watching that FT thread intently; about to have my 4th and 5th USA stays this year.

I'm gunning for the max. 3 free night from 12 stays (already had them booked).
