From The Australian:

Melbourne is emerging as the focus for hotel sales in the second half of the year, with US hospitality property giant Host Hotels & Resorts and developer Plenary Group moving to put Hilton Melbourne South Wharf Hotel on the market.

I would hope that there is no change to the tenant.

I agree!

But can't see Hilton abandoning Melbourne. Despite being out of the CBD it's a fine location and good building too.

I highly doubt Hilton would leave MEL, as there is such a large market here it would be a major step back.
Probably just the same scenario as the recent sale of HSyd.
