Checking was efficient.
lounge is on the 37th floor. Quite small, clearly not purpose built. Small range of international food.

No welcome letter from GM nor room upgrade despite being HH Diamond. Fruit and water however.

Lounge in the evening doesn't cope very well.runs out of basic food offerings. They know the loadings and shoud procure accordingly.

Great mohitjo coughtails however, full marks there Hilton.

Free wireless not explained at Check in.

3.5 out of 5.

Rooms are smallish to western standards. Hotel is a bit of a trek to the subway. (i don't like walking)

Stayed there for three nights in February as a Diamond on Award (10 days before Tsunami).

I was upgraded to Executive level but did have to ask about internet but.

We could choose breakfast in lounge or downstairs.

Would rate the stay as 4½/5.

Once you learn the way, you can walk underground between Shinjuku station and the Hilton in about 20 minutes. Alternatively, you can catch the free hotel shuttle which takes 5 minutes between the hotel and Shinjuku station :)

Loved the place when I stayed there several years ago. Would probably stay somewhere else as I'm no longer a Hilton fan, but was very well treated by staff and it's a decent location.

I didn't find the walk to the subway excessive.

Executive club was full tonight. Doesn't cope well with crowds. Got serviced in the Marble Bar on the ground evils. Not exactly the lights of Tokyo. 1/5

Wow, I would love to know how to do this. I stay there often and Shinjuku is my most frequented station. Don't mind the humidity but it's a killer in work attire.

The underground signage is poor. It is been 2 years since I last stayed but IIRC this is what I did. I started from Shinjuku station, taking the West exit, stayed underground and followed the signs towards the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. As I neared the above building, signs for the nearby Hyatt hotel becam apparent and I then followed that. I emerged at street level near the Hyatt hotel just across the street from the Hilton but I'm sure if I looked hard enough I could have taken a slightly different exit and come up right next / in the Hilton. Reverse to get to station.

Excellent, thank you very much. Not visiting again until June. It's likely to be humid-ish though.

Perfect views of mt Fiji from the 37th floor.
And if you look towards the west you may also be able to see Mt Fuji :p

It must be a very clear day to see Fiji from Japan

Alas when I was there I had no Hilton status and did not venture to the upper floors for the view. But did get some good snaps of Mt Fuji from the office where it was clearly visible from the 6th floor deck.

From the hotel you head to the ground floor and walk down a wide stairway (near the lifts) to a bsement shopping arcade; from there is signage to Shinjuku station.

(A few tunnels, travelators, escalators along the way.)

Dare I ask which Shinjuku station? The JR station or the subway station?

I have been lost around here before transiting from one to the other.

Ha ha bloody spell check!

Tokyo Hilton totally redeemed themselves.

Spoke to ops mgr, executive liaison and executive chef, Norwegian, kiwi and Aussie in that order.

Got a reserved seat at club tonight. Response was superb .

Well done Tokyo Hilton!

Stayed at this wonderful property few weeks back, great location for my purpose & easily navigatable to & from.
had a great spacious room on exec floor - city view was fabulous.
lounge was very crowded for evening canapés, with a view over Tokyo to appreciate. Lounge staff & ESP. Manager fantastic.
Service at every level was extremely top notch.
