Similar thread to a few others running here.

Is anyone able to enlighten me regarding the various Hilton brand hotels in Beijing?

I/we currently have a 5 night award booking at Hilton Beijing Wangfujing for mid October. the hotel rates very well on Trip Advisor but I was wondering if anyone has personal experience.

I stayed there back in August 2014 and thought it was very good. Good exec lounge. I booked a Deluxe King and received an upgrade, as a Diamond Member, to an Executive King.

There are older reviews on AFF here and here.

I was dragged to the rather touristy street food market across the road and ate the various bugs etc to the delight of my Chinese colleagues!!!!!

The centipedes weren't too bad at the street food market!!!! :p

The location is excellent for the Forbidden City. I finished up heading up to the Great Wall by car- on a very hot day during school holidays..............four hours later!!!!!!!

Had a stay there a couple or years back. Booked a suite which was lovely however the sofa in the lounge room was terrible. Worst I've ever not used. Its was like a bus top seat. Back attached to the wall and hard bottom.

The shopping mall was outside and a block or so of walking and about 15 mins walking to the Forbidden City.

Great Exec lounge with really good deserts.

Now I wouldn't be fool enough to question TH, but that room looks more like a Jnr Suite rather than a King Exec.

They look more like silk worms on the kebab in the middle!

Did you try the scorpions and sea horses too?

I tried to but just couldn't bring myself to crisply bite into them. Yuk!
