Have booked a car in Adelaide through Hertz - the 'Premium' category which says Holden SV6 "or similar". I'm wondering:

1) What other cars apart from the SV6 are in that category in ADL?
2) Chances of an upgrade - I have gold status through Amex Plat
3) Is there a BP near ADL so I can refuel the hire car on return and earn some VFF?

1) Not sure what other cars are in that class (I'm always confused by what they have in each class)
2) I've never had an upgrade at ADL when I've booked am SV6 (and I'm Gold Plus Rewards Five Star)
3) Yes, there is on on the road between the city and airport - not far away.

Also, make sure you show them your receipt for fuel or they will slog you, even if you do fill up.

Thanks for the tips. I've never had to show receipts with car rental companies before. I will keep that in mind.

I'm coming from rural SA to the east though - is that BP on the way/convenient? Or is there another one?

The BP is on Sir Donald Bradman drive. If not sure, just try google maps to see where they are.
