HKG Airport Delays today

LOL! One of these days I am going to get some luck.

Seriously though it is not the end of the world and enjoying the relaxation in Thailand now although the weather is extremely hot.

Relaxation in Thailand has calmed you down from the CX "experience". Safe travels.

My CX flight MNL-HKG today boarded on time but was 30mins late to take off (ATC delay they told us). And it was HOT at the gate. But once under way CX was excellent. The "1st Class" lounge at MNL...haha well that's another matter!

You seemed lucky Austman.. I saw all the CX pax milling around @ MNL terminal on 29th for a 6pm CX departure at 7pm when they announced incoming flight was arr @ 736pm!! Manila INT T1 airport was a shambles for departures last Sunday.. Traffic.. Hot weather & terminal crowded & a/c wasn't coping at all.. I was fortunate to be on the SQ departure, only delayed 20 mins due to notorious ATC - MNL single runway is a joke at peak hour!

Pretty horrible terminal. Was told it's going to be closed? The 747's AC couldn't cope while waiting at the gate. At least it wasn't soo long.

I'm always surprised at how they can serve full meals on a 74A for such short flights.

Thanks for the photos & narratives.. I know it is a miserable terminal at the best, & the lounge even more so! Most other ASEAN countries can get it right with the simple infrastructure except PI!
Had to laugh at the signage 'It's more fun in the Philippines" yeh right...
HKG & MNL are two different worlds.. Been doing the PR HKG/MNL of late which is a good option arrive into T2, slightly better!
