We are flying out of HKG tomorrow night and are considering using the in-town check-in to avoid lugging our baggage around all day (and allowing us to get to The Wing a tad earlier than usual... ).
I've had a look on this site, and on FT, and while I can find answers to most of my questions about in-town check-in I can't find out whether this will cause any problems with our upgrade request from J to F (though looking at Seatcounter I think it is unlikely anyway).
As the upgrade request won't clear until at least 5 hours before departure, and we would be checking in about 12 hours before departure, I assume we would receive J boarding passes. So does that then cancel our upgrade request or could we still get handed F boarding passes at the airport?
