andNext onward flight that day must be a Qantas, British Airways, or Jetstar Airlines+ flight number.
One guest allowed and must be travelling with the member.
+ Jetstar Airlines refers to Jetstar (JQ), Jetstar Aisa (3K) and Valuair (VF).
In addition to Qantas Club lounges, you can relax in British Airways lounges (Terraces and Executive Club lounges) and American Airlines® Admirals Club lounges. For applicable lounge locations please visit Book Flights, Hotels, Holidays, Car Rental with British Airways - BA.com and AA.com.
To access a partner airline lounge, simply present your Qantas Club card or Platinum or Gold Frequent Flyer card at check-in and again with your boarding pass at the lounge reception. You may also invite a guest. Note: both you and your guest must be travelling together and have onward travel that day on a flight marketed and operated by the partner airline whose lounge you wish to visit.***
*** Marketed and operated means a flight operated by the same airline whose flight number appears on your ticket. Includes American Airlines® or British Airways operated flights with a 'QF' flight number on your ticket.
Thanks guys. Was hoping for the impossible...
Can't afford business class otherwise it would work out fine. Would be good if we could go into all the one world lounges. Oh well.... what can i do with 6 hours? Can I leave the airport?

Thanks mate. Didn't realise there was a difference between gold and q club. Will head out to city gate or something
scheps - Qantas Club is a separate entity in and of itself. Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum refers to the status passengers have in the Qantas Frequent Flyer programme - with equivalent 'gem' designations for the One World Alliance.
You did not mention whether you have any status in any of the programmes, i.e. as a Qantas Platinum (One World Emerald) I can access the First or Business lounges of any of the partner airlines (as I recently did when flying AA, BA, JAL and CX).
Catch train at HK airport to city, clean, lots room, comfy seats and fast, and only about 20 mins each way. Trip over harbour from HK to Kowloon in old Manly style ferry very cheap takes 15 minutes. See if any of the markets are open in HK, Kowloon, some real bargains to be had, some open at 12 noon. Mongkok (just up road from Kowloon) great place to shop too for camera/electrical etc..
Good point, i forgot about the gems I am ruby at the moment, wont get to gold before i go to hong kong unfortunately. So you must be flying that airline to access their lounge tho right?
No. As a gold/sapphire you can access any One World business lounge. So flying on CX you can access both CX and QF lounges in MEL and HKG.
Lounge access under OneWorld status requires that the member be departing on a OneWorld marketed and operated flight.Oh cool how about say, i flew sia to LHR as a gold member equalivalent on one world, can i still access lounge (ignoring the T5 issue)?? or i have to fly one of the one worlds to go into any of the one world lounge?
re: electronics, will need to make sure i dont get some "fakes" . There is no tax to "refund" in HK is there? Wouldnt mind picking up an asus UX31 with an i7.
How much is the exit tax or fee from the airport? hopefully not too much
