I'm looking at booking a weekend in Perth and checked out both the hotel direct site and VA/Velocity site. I need to book the 2 Queens configuration (for myself and Jnr#2). Both sites are showing the same price, but it is not clear on the VA/Velocity site what the room configuration is. Obviously, I want to get the extra points by booking through VA, but is it too risky booking this way, that I may end up with 1 king bed?

Could I book with VA and then just contact the hotel direct requesting the 2 queen config, or are they likely to slug me? Alternatively, on the VA site it offers a triple, still at the same price, however this could still end up as a king plus a rollaway.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

I realise the 1st option includes breakfast, which I'm not concerned about, just need the 2 queen config and would much rather go out for breaky anyway.

I recently booked a hotel in Sydney through Velocity. It was just for me and my 5yo daughter. The booking confirmation said "Guest Room - 2 twin (single) beds or 1 queen bed" - either config would have been fine so I didn't bother looking into it.

When we got to the hotel, the room had 1 single and 1 queen bed - so it worked out perfectly for us :)

My fiance (who pools to me) booked a blue holiday 11 days ago, said in the booking 10000 or so points, but nothing has appeared in either of our accounts yet. Emailed VR about it, got the standard auto reply but nothing else yet

It appears Blue Holidays is 3 nights min. unfortunately. Thanks for the tip.
