If ever coming to Charleston, I recommend planters' inn, north market st.

Rooms are comfy, four poster beds, great service, free coffee in lovely lounge in a.m. and iced tea or hot apple cider in afternoon.

As I was arriving 5:30am I only booked for the day of arrival until dep. date. I thought better of it the day before arrival and called to see if I could book my room day before.

It wasn't available but they gave me a room for only us$100 extra over my booked room until 3pm book in and my room ready. It was lovely, not suite with sep. bedroom but as good as. Large couch, comfortable chairs, fireplace, etc., etc. Hugh bathroom, could have been a family of five to fit in quite comfortably.

My room cost us$290 pre tax. Hotel in the midst of everything.
