Over my last couple of stays I've actually grown to quite dislike this hotel (The Andaz down the road is much better) - still sad to see another hotel leave the chain though.

I have only stayed at the Pulitzer twice in my two visits in Amsterdam so don't really have any other hotel comparisons, that said I really enjoyed the hotel. I am indifferent to it leaving Starwood as I haven't been staying in many recently.

Didn't rate the place at all. Hated the style and the "charm." Good service though. Last time I went, I stayed 'off chain' and had a fab time at the cool Sir Albert.

That said, I spy a new W Amsterdam opening in Sept 2015. Will probably try Andaz on our next visit until the W opens.
