Will be flying through DXB on my way to Europe at the end of the year and I'm looking for an overnight hotel. Can anyone recommend something close to the airport and/or with an airport shuttle?

A side question; I am flying in on QF9 at 11:25pm and then out on EK89 to Geneva at 8:55am - should I be able to check my bags in all the way to Geneva and thus stay in the hotel within the airport terminals? Might be less hassle than collecting bags and trekking to a hotel late in the evening.

Thanks!

Try the Holiday Inn Express at the airport.

The air-side hotel is very convenient. Check your bags all the way through, and wander from the gate to the hotel. In the morning, check out and wander to the gate. No security, no check-in, no queuing, no worrying about traffic or flat tyres. When you think about the extra hours you need factor-in to allow for all those things, it makes the hotel look like pretty good value.

Alternatively the hotel windows look out over the FF lounge, and you can see lots of people bedding down there for the night.

ibis deira city centre, I paid $80 for a night and its literally 10 min taxi from the airport, taxi cost very little. close to train station too

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I'm leaning towards the airside hotel for convenience sake and to maximise the amount of sleep I can get. Just hope I can check the bags through on separate tickets!
