When staying the LeMeridien in KL, I often feel their premier rooms are somewhat small despite the 37sqm status size, then I noticed they have unusually tall ceilings with a 3x4x1m cutout in the bed room making the room feel vertically spacious but still small in terms of walking space.
Compare that to the hotels room photo:
At the end of the day the room is still 37m, but it does feel far more contrained than the Sheratons 42sqm rooms down the road!
