Can anyone recommend a great hotel in Toronto? Reason for travel = business, but comfort is preferred over functionality.

Cheers

First, do you have an Hotel award program? If so, look at the choice there.

I recently stayed at both the Sheraton and the King Edward, both SPG properties. Both are excellent, but very different.

The KE is a Le Meridien brand small and boutique ish and also it can be hellishly expensive. I lucked out and got a great deal for a weekend (Fri - Mon). Although, the rate did skyrocket for the Sunday night, but the average rate was very good.

The Sheraton is a HUGE hotel with great rooms on the Club floors, great views - to gaze at for five minutes each day - and very central for what I needed.

Have fun T'ronto is a great city.

Thanks all - appreciate your suggestions.

Yeah I'm at Diamond level with Hyatt (but the Park Hyatt seems a bit out of the CBD?) and Gold with Sofitel. Used to have status with SPG and Hilton but I think it's expired.
