How are Velocity points added to my account?

Hey. Newbie question.

I'm using my Velocity Red for the first time. And just looking on the Velocity rewards site, I'm just wondering how are points added to my account? Do I have to manually claim them?

I did place my flight booking on vb.com.au and logged into my account when paying for the flights..

If you are talking about taking a flight, then you need to take the flight before they will credit

Your points will be automatically added once you take the flight. Sometimes it can take a few days for the points to show up.

Check if your Velocity number is on the itinerary below your name (as it should be given you were logged in to VR).

If so, take the flight and Bob's your father's brother.
