Just a quick query, apologise if it's been covered elsewhere but I couldn't find it.

I have just made some bookings on AA and want to link them into my Qantas 'My Bookings' page so I know that I will earn points. Qantas isn't recognising the booking numbers - nor is checkmytrip or galileoviewtrip for that matter.

Does anyone know how I can do this easily? Thanks!

Is it on virtuallythere, the sabre system (www.virtuallythere.com)

No, I just checked and it's not on virtuallythere.com either! My DH booked them through expedia ... could that be the problem?

Why worry? When you check in just make sure that you give them your QFF number. The QFF number is renowned for being a bit sticky so once it gets attached to the first flight it should be fine.

Can you see the booking on aa.com ?

The OP's wish may not be easily possible. If you have the AA sabre booking reference it's not hard to ensure your ff number is correctly entered.

One way to be sure of having ones Frequent flyer number in an AA itinerary is to call AA and ask them to put it in, being very care to ensure they understand it's your Qantas frequent flyer number.

Once this is done; call again the next day and get the AAgent to read it back to you (don't prompt).

Repeat until you are satisfied.

You may be able to check if you have either:
  • An E-Ticket Confirmation Email from AA, or
  • A paper ticket receipt.

The E-Ticket confirmation would have an entry against each segment beside your name. e.g. For a WP:
FF#: QF 7654321
EMD

Thanks, I think I will take your advice and call AA. I have always been able to enter my BA flights into the Qantas profile, so I assumed it would be the same. Not to worry!

You can see the BA flights because QF and BA both use the same booking system (Amadeus), while AA uses a different system (Sabre).
