At my one and only stay at HOTP we were "upgraded" to an executive room without lounge access. I was HH Blue at the time and the reply we received was to the effect that upgrades to executive rooms do not confer exec lounge access unless as a benefit of HH status.
A little OT but I have stayed in multiple two room (and one three room) bookings in the LOTFAP over the past couple of months and every single one has had full Diamond benefits to both rooms.
