How long can I wait to respond to flight time change on reward ticket?

I have two reward tickets booked with Qantas on different dates and am still deciding which one to use. In the meantime, Qantas has sent me an email about a slight change in the flight time which in one way is great, because it gives me the opportunity to cancel the flight for free. I have ignored it for now but I am wondering how long I can wait to respond. Will they take action if I continue to ignore them? I'd love to be able to wait until I make a decision and cancel then for free.
 
In this situation myself. The time change was automatically reticketed (I don't think I actioned it) so the option to accept or cancel no longer appears.
 
I thought they might do that, I still wonder what would happen if you called and said, actually I want to cancel, the ten minute change doesn't suit me anymore.
 
i had one change like that recently, and I had to call to cancel, there wasnt an option to do online.
 
I think it's definitely a YMMV situation, I had one such open for months (the change was so small I effectively forgot about it).

I’ve had both situations - a change that auto-reticketed and one that sat there for several months prompting me to accept it. Ah Qantas - consistently inconsistent™️. I reckon that even if it auto-reticketed, you could still call up and ask for free cancellation as long as you has the original booking to prove it wasn’t what you booked. As far as I know, you don’t have to give a reason it no longer suits you if the change is involuntary. Worth a try.

I'm considering a routing change that gets me a few more SCs... ironically the flight that's been retimed by 5min is the one on the ticket which I'll want to keep! Might still see how I go.
