how long for HotelClub points to arrive

I've made a test booking with Hotelclub via the Virgin Blue website for some accommodation next year. They matched the best price I could find, and charged me in AUD so saved me 3% CC surcharge.

Just wondering how long it usually takes for the points to appear in ya velocity account??

I can't find any info directly talkin about Hotelclub on the velocity website. It does go on about Octopus Travel, but I don't think they are associated with Velocity anymore??

I haven't checked the details, but like with partner airlines I would not expect partner hotels to post the points to Velocity until after the service is rendered (even if fully pre-paid)? The booking is for next year you say?

yes, the booking is for april next year.

I've done it a few times recently - can be anywhere between a few days/weeks (for australian hotels) to a month or two (for a hotel i booked in Dubai). I hope that helps a little.

The HotelClub site on it’s own takes a month after your stay has ended to post the points, so assuming they then pass the points along to Velocity I’d expect it to take a little longer than that.
