Hi guys,

I flew JL last week for the first time since they joined one world (in J which was fantastic, will post a TR on my return).

Just wondering if anyone can clue me in as to how long SC's and Points take to post to Qantas FF after the flights?

TG

Mrsdrron's JAL sectors have usually posted to QF within the week and have not had to chase one yet.Mine generally post to AA before hers to QF though.

I travelled on the 4th September from NRT to HKG and points were credited on QFF on the 14th Septmeber.

J Class on JL is very good. I regular use them when I can. Nice to have a choice of a Western meal or Japanese meal.

I hope they stay in the oneworld.

I am in the FLounge waiting for a JL flight as I type. This one is economy, but its a short sector and likely an almost empty aircraft so should not be a problem. I'll let you know how long it takes to hit my AA account. Have the return sector on Monday.

My JL flights have taken a week to ten days to post. Never had to chase them, even the one in ineligible classes that post as zero points.

Wish you were there 5 days earlier, I would have loved to check out the F lounge.

I checked out the Sakura lounge in the main terminal but it was so busy I found the QF Business lounge a bit more peaceful.

Will check out the food at Sakura on my return as I have 5 hours and although the QF lounge is enticing with Asahi on tap, theres not much in the way of sustainance there.

Ahh, I was not in NRT, but was in SIN at the QF/BA FLounge waiting for my JL flight. The NRT JAL FLounge is also very good, with an extremely impressive Whiskey bar that includes many very good whiskeys.

Agreed. But one soon becomes bored with watching the ABPMs.

True.

Although i'd love to have a view from my home office as good as the one sitting at the workstations in the QF J Lounge at NRT.

You were spot on, 7 days and they appeared like clockwork.

Many thanks for your replies.

Alot of my J flying is on AD tkts so no SC's earnt, but this ones paid so will requalify SG 6 months into the year and might get to WP with another trip.

WP is always a nice target :)
Once i made it here i can see the advantages generally.
Lets just hope JAL stay in OW now. Not bad to fly in premium classes in my opinion.

It's excellent value 720 SC's for one return J flight AUS-Europe for under A$5k

I'm on the Gold Coast but originally from Adelaide so flew ex. ADL as its the same price as ex. SYD (didnt want to fly ex BNE due to the metal being used) and got QF J ADL-SYD and the bonus SC's to boot)

Very tempted to head back over to UK or NY before my year ends at end Feb so I can hit WP.

Fingers crossed JL remain in OW, would be a great loss in my opinion.
