How long till velocity points are processed after taking out virgin money car insurance?

I saw that if you get the comprehensive car insurance you can get up to 10,000 velocity points. Does anyone know how long it takes for the velocity points to land in your account after purchasing the insurance?

Points land in 2 separate allotments - first is about 6 months in - 2nd is around 11 months
