Hey guys,

Just wondering if there is a consensus on how long to hold onto a credit card you got simply for bonus points? I've milked by QF Ultimate for all its worth with bonus points and the free flight and its all paid off. Only had the card for a month now. All the QF points have transfered accross to my FF account. So is there any reason to keep it any longer or should I just cancel it now?

Does AMEX look at these things when applying for new cards?

Cheers,

I've moved this to a more appropriate forum, maybe some have some thoughts?

I use Ultimate for really big expenditure so I have not thought about dropping it.
The 2.5 points on Qantas expenditure and the free flight to the other coast neutralizes the annual fee for Mrscove and myself.
You do run a risk with churning and not everyone qualifies for some Amex cards. I don't churn as you never know what the future holds.
