After today's SYD-MEL-SYD trip, where I flew down on DJ and ended up coming back on QF after DJ's computers crashed and delayed all flights (see long-winded story here), I checked my Velocity account to see if my first points had been posted.

Alas no. :( Maybe their computers are still broken.

Of course my QF points have already been posted. :)

It will be interesting to see how well the DJ online FF system works.

I get the feeling they're still getting a hang of the system. I've made four bookings on DJ since joining Velocity and they haven't appeared in the "your bookings" section yet.

I made my first booking on DJ since velocity started, via my TA. Rang Velocity call centre today to confirm that my no was actually in the booking, and was advised for the first few weeks they will processing credits manually, so it could be up to a four week wait to get flights credited. Hmmmm.

Wish they'd write it up in the FAQ.

At the moment it's just "If it doesn't post, call us" or words to that effect. A nice statement like that would ensure that the admin overheads would be reduced.

Points for a trip on the 19th of November were credited 2 weeks later.

Didn't have to get them to manually do it, just wanted to try them out and see how on the ball they are.

The "official"ish statement is that points will credit between 48 hours and 14 days after your flight.

The website says

How long will it take for my points earned to show up on my account?

Virgin Blue, Pacific Blue & Polynesian Blue -
Points will be credited to your Velocity Rewards Account within 3 days of completing your flight.

Non-Air

Europcar - Points will be credited to your Velocity Rewards Account within 3 days of completing your rental.

Velocity National Credit Card – Velocity Points earned for purchases on your Velocity National Credit Card will appear on your next monthly Velocity National Credit Card statement and will be available for redemption through Velocity the following business day, following the issue of that statement, provided the National holds a valid Velocity Membership Number.

I've had to email Velocity each time I've flown to have points credited. Haven't contacted them re flight 23 January or yesterday's flight. Have an email from Velocity re these flights stating that they are recorded.

See how long they take to be credited?

A couple of flights I've taken less than a week ago posted fine.
