Hi All,

New to AFF. I have a return trip booked in premium economy (R) from SYD-AUH on VA, then economy (B) AUH-LHR on EY all on the same ticket, but different flight numbers. Status Credit earn rates are still a bit of a mystery to me on Virgin Australia (i.e. does this count as a 8,001 + mile trip or 5,001-8000 and a 3,001 +) depending on how VA calculate, there are a couple different figures running through my head and would appreciate some input from those a bit more experienced on VA.

Thanks!

Riley

You'll earn 120SCs for the 7409 mile trip to AUH and 60 SCs for the ~3500 miles to LHR. Points will be higher for you as your plat status.

Word of advice: expect to wait anywhere between a few days to a looooonnnngggg time before EY flights are credited. A few AFFs have raised this issue before.

I have not had a good experience with EY crediting - just take a look at the thread I started below: http://www.australianfrequentflyer....ocity/velocity-ff-youve-got-joking-37531.html

The issue still has not been resolved after many many PMs.

Thanks pmdg7444, really appreciate the reply. I did this leg last year and both VA and EY credited pretty quickly, but thanks for the heads-up I will keep an eye on it.
