Thought this mighte be interesting so we can collectively drown our sorrows or shre relief about how little it was.

Can I suggest we only post when we have a final outcome for a trip rather than doing a piecemeal approach for flights then accommodation etc.

So to kick things off. I chose to cancel a week in Bangkok on QF points. So cost was 12000 QF points. Accommodation was mostly refundable, only the night at the beginning of the trip I couldn't get back which was $229.

Lost the total of zero points for flights and $0.00 for accomodation. Cancelled OW rewards F booking totalling 820K points under the involuntary change rules. All accomodation was booked about 10 months ago, all fully refundable at the Conrad - Japan, London, NYC downtown and Midtown (the old London). I always book refundable accomodation at a price I am willing to pay and if it gets cheaper closer to travel that is a bonus.

Refund approved by Oman Air for non-refundable business class (Melbourne to Manchester) - less $145 cancellation fee. Everything else was refundable.
