How to book business class Mel-Per? Think I've lost it...

I've been searching the QF website for a business class option and there doesn't seem to be one. All I am offered on the Mel-Per route is Red-e-deal, Flex and Prem Economy Saver (plus reward options). Am I doing something wrong because Syd-Per shows business class options, but not Mel-Per.

I get this randomly at times and odd routes. Use a different device and don't log in. I feel like the last time it happened it had something to do with an infant.

Oddly enough, search on random dates for me is only coming back with business awards, despite having that criteria turned off!

I can confirm this is happening to me too. On some random searches I can see business classic reward seats but no actual business class. Weird.

Pick business at the point to point date page at the most front.
Edit:
O, that only works for int flights.
Mmm, I see your points, there is only J seats for some dates, and only for points redemption.
Looks like they are not accepting $ for rev seats.

Maybe they do not want to sell J on the QF9/QF10 service!
Cunning way of cutting out J on the "dom pax on an int flight" sector.

Seems like there's a bug in the domestic search due to the way flight results page is designed. Domestic search displays the first three paid fare classes for the route, followed by award classes. Generally this is Red e-Deal, Flex and Business - but because MEL to PER has a PE option, it displays this instead of Business. There's then no way to actually select business. A scenario that should have been picked up during testing.

If you must book direct through QF then a work around could be to search using something like Skyscanner. You can then click through to purchase on the QF site.

Seems like the choice of picking "business" when we pick the date/s we want to fly on this route, has come back.
Was not there before, as was our grumble, but it seems that the choice of paying J on this route, has returned.
But after Pushka relation of her case, and also that Aussie vet who was dumped from his J seat, for a tech(ie) to replace him on that seat, does leave a bitter taste in the mouth, and J class/subclass of J, PER - MEL or vv, is not cheap.
