How to book different reward class fares on VA online

Hi,

I am looking at taking my wife to Osaka for her 40th in September.

Currently have 350K points with VA and have found SQ flights (26/9 and 3/10) in J that would require me to purchase 15K points.

Alternative is to book economy one way and business return however VA website does not appear to allow me to mix class in booking.

Appreciate any suggestions

You can book it as separate one-way tickets? Other than a potential credit card processing fee, there shouldn't be a difference in points costs. I'd be tempted to top up to get that 15k however if it's not too pricey!

I am also with sludge and odysseus. If you can afford it just buy the additional or transfer from Amex or flybuys if you have these and book via VA.

If you were to convert to KF and book with SQ you will need a few more than an extra 15k VA points.

Definitely buy the additional 15,000 points! Using Velocity Points Booster they'll cost $452 - worth it to get business class both ways. If you can get them more cheaply by transferring points from KrisFlyer/Flybuys/a credit card, then even better.

Oh, and those dates are around school holidays so don't delay booking, whatever you do!

Well in case you're still not sure, there's currently a 15% discount on Velocity Points Booster purchases until the end of the month.

Try the app. I know it has just been updated, but last August I booked J outbound SYD-AUH-LHR and Y inbound LHR-AUH-SYD on EY using the VA app. That was cash though, so unsure if you can do with points.
