Hey everyone,

I am looking into doing a SC run on AA later this year when i am in the U.S. I was hoping people could provide some of the basics on how to create a good SC run? Will be wanting to do it on Yup fares and would prefer to do a big one. Say 1000 points or so.

I will be mainly on the west coast. But there is a chance we will travel to the East coast as well to spend some time.

Hopefully you guys can give some info on the routing that seems to regularly bring up decent SC runs?
-Best airports to start from?
-Best airports and or regions to travel to? (Do the seasons greatly affect route pricing?)
-Do runs that include a leg down to Central/South america help in bringing the price down?
-Do you find it better to do multiple smaller runs to achieve lower $:SC?
-Any other tips that you may want to share on creating a route?

I have played around on the AA multi city system. I copied the routing from the thread a few weeks back that had a $1400 platinum fare. But couldn't get the price down anywhere near that. Is it just a matter of luck? and trying different routes and seeing if the system can give you a good price? Or are there factors that you guys account for to get a good price? HNL seems to have an ok trip to PAP (via lAX and MIA). Although the price has doubled in less than year for that route?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks gogo
