My son accidentally left his video camera in the cinema at Changi Airport when during our transit on Friday and didnt realise until mid-flight on the way back to Melbourne. We contacted Changi upon arrival in Melbourne and luckily the camera had been found and is being held at their Customer Support Centre. Our problem now is how to get the camera back to Australia from Singapore. Couriers wont collect the item because they require it to packaged and labelled etc .... and Changi has suggested to get the airline we were travelling on to collect camera and send it on to my local airport here in Australia. Apparently this is what usually happens .... however I doubt Jetstar would do this. Has anyone else had experience with this issue before? Would appreciate some advice.

Do you have an account with any courier company? You can ask the centre to put into a box for you and email them the labels that need to go on it (courier accounts supply these)
Otherwise ask them to bill your credit card for them to courier it to you and that you'll pay any postage and handling charges

Not sure how trustworthy everyone is here, but I suppose those who have plenty of posts and are well known to the community, and happen to be going SIN-MEL in the near future, may be able to assist?

I'm doing SIN-SYD next month, but SYD is not MEL... (but I suppose it's a lot easier to send something SYD-MEL than SIN-MEL)

Thank you for the suggestions everyone but I have contacted a former member of my Rotary Club who now lives in Singapore and they are going to collect it from the airport for me in the next couple of weeks and then arrange for it to be posted back or bring it with them when they next come back to Tasmania.

We appreciate your advise on how to get it back.

If you need any more help I am flying FCO-LHR-SIN-MEL in late July and am happy to pick it up for you.
