How (And Why!) to Transfer Velocity Points to Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer
A unique feature of Virgin Australia's Velocity Frequent Flyer program is the ability to transfer points to Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer. Our guide explains when you should do it.

Hey @AFF Editor you linked this article to a closed thread so here's a new one

KrisFlyer also offers additional award seats as “Advantage” awards to its own members, which are generally available on more flights but cost more KrisFlyer miles.
Advantage Awards also have a free stopover available, where applicable, allowing you to break up the journey AU-SIN-EU for instance - or maybe FRA on the way to NYC and NRT heading to LAX.
It's a shame there's been no special points transfer offers between VA-SQ though - 1.55:1 is not ideal (or as I like to think about it 3.1:1 FlyBuys to KrisFlyer)
