I know that if you have Premier in one locality, you can get it in another by virtue of the first, and transfer money between your own accounts freely. Say, from Hong Kong to Australia and vice versa, no fees.

I have premier, excellent service - we have bank accounts in the US, France and Australia. No fees to transfer money and the rates are always at market. No premiums paid to the bank.

We have a HSBC CC as well but really only use that when cant use the AMEX.

I recently have bad experience with Westpac and thinking about moving to HSBC. Only a couple of branches though in Perth - is that inconvenient? Their CC gives good QF points for overseas purchases which may be useful for me. Any other thoughts?

Don't pay HSBC a day late would be my first piece of advice.
HSBC is helpful if you ever need to get an account in the UK as Westpac has nothing there for you.
Their credit card has a cap so be aware of this.
i have just run with Woolworths EDR as it is uncapped.
I like the two points per dollar on overseas purchases. That wins them business.

We live south of the river and use garden city - usually pretty quite location. In the city there is one in the CBD and also a branch in Subiaco now. Joondalup is also open. You can do most things online these days. I have not been to a branch in months to be honest. Post office will do most transactional stuff for you as well.
