Looks like HSBC have gotten back in the game

40,000 bonus points (after eligible purchase, no min. spend)
1:1 up to $2,500 per month (then 0.5)
0% balance transfer for 6 months
$200 annual fee

At 0.5CPP it's not awful value but not good enough to get me to apply at this stage.

The recent Jetstar deal was better with 50,000 bonus, similar annual fee and 1:1 points up to an annual cap of 100,000. This is similar to Woolworths money but with a better sign up bonus. I for one am just looking for a Mastercard/Visa with 1:1 points that suddenly doesn't get devalued. Hopefully the Jetstar card will last me for some time now but if it gets chopped the way other Macquarie cards have the inevitable churn will happen.

Hsbc card now very disappointing with no free QC passes and capped earning rate (previously uncapped including ATO). I still have mine but it will be cut to bits once the 6 month interest free credit period they offered me ends.

Finally they have the paywave function, pity they capped the points and got rid of the QC passes.

Seems several other better value recent offerings. Can't think of any reason to go for this.
