I never had real reasons to complain but reading some of the stories here I wasn't expecting much from Qantas regarding Customer Service. This has changed yesterday when I received a nice letter with a 500 Dollar travel voucher in it, giving me compensation for something I never missed! Apparently, the entertainment system on one of my recent flights had been malfunctioned and I vaguely remember an apology onboard, just about when I was about to slumber away with my double shot of malt whisky in hand...
Anyway- I hardly ever use the entertainment system anyway but rather watch some of the stuff I have on my Ipad, especially as this flight happened to have the free Wifi trial onboard which worked perfectly well. In other words, I hadn't even complained but received this lovely surprise in the mail. Now THAT is excellent customer service in my eyes, excellent! Qantas: Thumbs up, that's ho you keep me flying with you! That and the lovely food. And the free Wifi. And the staff that is almost always friendly, competent and helpful. Gosh- I must be having a good day today!
