Hi everyone

Right, so I became a QFF member today.

I am now trying to claim points for:
18th August 2010 (7 days ago)
23rd August 2010 (two days ago)

I understand that I am able to claim for points if I have flown in the past 30 days. I have successfully made a claim for the 18th August, and just tried making my second claim for 23rd of August, but I am faced with a dilemma.

So there is a message displaying 'The most recent Travel date you may claim for is 22 August 2010.'

How can I claim my points from 2 days ago (23rd August 2010)

I still have my booking reference and boarding pass

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

I'm not sure but you should take down that picture as it has your personal details on it.

Hi snazzy_traveller,

Welcome to AFF.

Since it can take a few days for flights to automatically post to your account, Qantas does not allow submission for missing points claims until a minimum time has elapsed. So just wait a day or two and submit again.

I have removed the attachment as it contains personal details as noted.

Simply claim tomorrow - the online claim will not show a date earlier than three days past.

Today is the 25th so the 22nd is the most recent it will allow.

Tomorrow being the 26th should allow a claim for the 23rd.

Cheers ...

BTW, welcome to AFF snazzy_traveller :D

Hi there Serfty

Great, thank you.

I am also wondering if I can claim points from flying a little over 2 months ago? I am not sure if this is possible but it is worth asking about

It is my understanding that you can only claim points for flights taken up to 30 days before you jointed Qantas Frequeent Flyer. However, you can claim credit for flight taken up to 12 months earlier if you were already a member at the time of taking the flight.

Yes - I thought so too.

Do I recieve a frequent flyer card for being a bronze member? I cannot find anything on the website however I know there are certain credit cards linked to the QFF programme.

Yes you'll get a card and a welcome pack. Maybe in a week or 3.

You will receive a Bronze card soon enough. In the past overseas members have not received one until a flight credits. I know of no such issue with Oz residents.

They are quite the neat looking card*. :D

Great - thank you all for your help. You have all been very helpful. I began posting today hence all the questions!

I joined online via the Woolworths Everyday Rewards programme, so perhaps this is why I did not recieve any info about recieving a card.
