Hi everyone,

It's not super frequent flyer related but I just thought I would mention that I recently put in an expression of interest as a Part Time Guest Service Agent, based in Sydney.

I've done a couple of things over the years and at a bit of a crossroads phase of life. I love my people and my customer service things and VA does seem to do the whole connecting with people well and it seems like an organisation that one might want to be part of. So on a hunch I thought I would try.

Will let you know if I get past the first email application.

That's it!

As someone who worked in the People Team of VB (ie recruiting our guest services staff) I can tell you this:
Prepare for the phone interview now.
It may be this week, it may be July.
Prepare now.
Let me know if you make it through the phone screen.

Good Luck yogi, hope you get the position!

Well, that sucks. Didn't even get to phone interview. A little disappointed / surprised, but eh...

Sorry to hear that Yogi :(

Did they send you out a letter or something?...

Better luck next time hey?

Dear Yogi,
RE: Guest Services Agent Application
Thank you for submitting your interest in the Virgin Australia group of airlines. The Recruitment Team recently had the opportunity to review your application for Guest Services Agent, however, on this occasion your application has not been progressed further in our recruitment process.
Unfortunately at this stage of the recruitment process we are unable to provide more specific or individualised feedback due to the high volume of applications we receive.
Thank you again for your interest in a career with the Virgin Australia group of airlines.
Kind regards,
The Recruitment Team
