Greetings from a not so newbie. I originally joined AFF around 2002-2003 after hearing about it on a Usenet newsgroup. I was a reasonably regular poster under my old handle and I decided to change my handle to the one I use on other forums. Since the change I've been a bit of a lurker on AFF and FT, so I suppose I should re-introduce myself.

My name is Craig and I live near Canberra. I have a full-time job in Canberra that isn't very exciting but it paid the mortgage. On winter weekends I work as a ski instructor at one of the NSW resorts. I have passed my Austrian Anwaerter ski instructor certification and have four of the five components of the Australian Level 3 certification. That's the 'skier' part of my handle, the 'rugby' part comes from being a rugby tragic and veterans (over 35s) player. I have played in an international carnival in Cape Town and will be attending another international carnival at the end of next month in Honolulu.

AFF and FT introduced me to the benefits of status and I briefly held QFF Platinum for 18 months in 2006-07 and have been Gold ever since. The forums have been useful sources of information on getting discount J fares and developing routings to maximise status credits. I have been travelling to Japan in recent years to go skiing and took advantage of the QF sale to go to Canada next January.

Are you flying into Canberra to go skiing this weekend lovestotravel? Perisher or Thredbo this time and are you going to get both season passes next year?

Weekend off for a change, I need a break!

Perisher purchased
Thredbo will buy before 1st October

I still have another 3 weekend locked in now though

Good one. Will have to take you around some good local knowledge spots next year.

I had last weekend off skiing to go to my father's 70th celebrations in Merimbula - don't tell me how good it was I already know! I'm doing the next two weekends then a weekend at home before heading off to HNL for the Vintage Rugby Carnival.

It's a hard life but I guess someone has to do it!

Welcome back, hope to see you around the traps, I know you had a great time at the FT Oz Fest and we'll have the odd AFF CBR get together when it gets warmer.
