I have an Iberia marketed codeshare itinerary cross-Atlantic that has been partially used (outbound JFK-LHR used; inbound CPH-LHR-JFK-ORD unused).
It was unfortunately purchased through an online travel agent that is swamped.
I have noticed the LHR-JFK leg is now cancelled (when looking up booking ref on Iberia website); I obviously have no intention of utilising the legs and would ideally get refund - would I be protected under EU laws, or US (since that was origination)? And what refund would I expect - surely they would deconstruct on same basis as constructing 2 half-trips to form a roundtrip so that I don't end up with a pitiful refund? A credit voucher would be of little use on IB since I've never previously used them nor intend to going forward.
Thanks for any learned advice.
