Has anyone thought of a simple AFF pin (lapel style unisex) as simple ID for AFF travellers to recognise
each other? Just a thought.
You could even have say basic blue, silver and Gold ?

There are the AFF luggage tags..

We could come up with an elaborate hand shake - or we could get AFF bandanas and hang them out of our back pockets

Umm... given the main colours appear to be red and blue, I think I would give that one a miss :)

Fair point. But still unless you are eyeing off someone's luggage........

As opposed to someone's "chest". That sort of thing can get you into trouble these days.

When the lounge isn't busy I usually try to position my bag (and thus the tag) on a seat so anyone passing by would see I'm a member of AFF/FT/MP! :)

Would that work in an airport terminal? Maybe I don't want to find out...

I vote for the handshake option, something like this:

The whole bandana suggestion was a bad idea after further thought... could be misconstrued in certain circles

Cant exactly go around the airport shaking everyone's hand! Or can you...

Well if you're looking for people's hands to shake, seeing any of these tags in a set is a good clue they're a frequent flyer:

This is my personal 'homing pigeon' that hangs off my carry-on to make me identifiable to anyone of frequent flyer ilk when I'm travelling (which granted hasn't been much in the last 12 months). It also comes in handy at drinks meets, can be hung of a table number making it easier to find the group.

Do you get many bites from random fellow frequent flyers with that monstrosity?

One does not travel enough to be caught/found/hunted down by fellow flyers.

Size wise, it's not that bad. Barely 1.5cm thick, hardly makes a noise, and doesn't get in the way due to how I connect it to the bag.
