G'day all,

Just wondered if anyone has made a request to special services and it was ignored? On 2 completely seperate SYD-LHR-SYD runs in Y+ I just asked politely prior to flying if I could have an extra pillow for my wife for a medical reason, this was noted on the booking (I rang twice on the second occasion due to being let down first time) and they assured me it would be taken care of (alas not)

Is this a regular occurrence and was I being unreasonable in making this request?

cheers

I don't think you were unreasonable especially considering you gave them fair warning of the request too. And I'm not entirely sure why finding another pillow on-board was difficult, I never use the one they give me...

Thanks mustfly and setback forward, eventually I got one from the crew rest seats by a CSM that took pity, I found out the first time that pillows are loaded in SYD for both legs and are at a premium apparently! (possibly because we were only in Y+)

Cheers

Only Y+? if anything that means even more reason why you should get a pillow..

I decided to give my pillow to another passenger (to help with their back) in J last week because there were no spares available. If that is the situation in J what hope Y+?
