IHG adjusting points levels

IHG have announced some award level changes - among them are the IC Sydney and Melbourne going to a new level at 55,000 points. IHG Rewards Category Changes 2016 ~ Australian Travel Points

I see both InterContinental Le Moana Bora Bora and InterContinental Bora Bora Resort Thalasso & Spa are going from 50K to 60K pts per night! Luckliy we went last year!!

I've got 5 nights at IC Syd booked already for later this year at 50000. so not affecting me at this stage

Must be an occupancy issue. Here's another intersting thing - all the hotels that went down 10,000 points are Holiday Inn Express hotels in China....
