IHG Dining Rewards - Program Termination (15 Dec 2015)

I let my member ship for IHG Dining Rewards lapse months ago but still holding on to a 25% off Stay Certificate. For some reason i thought this cert. was 'transferable' so i was going to use it despite my membership lapsing. Noticed in the T's and C's that they are not transferable and tied to the membership being active. Crikey! Perhaps it was Prioritiy Privileges where these were transferable? Any clue what a fair valuation would be when i sell on 'that' online auction site?

I had a 25% off voucher left too ...

Wanted to book Sydney InterCon for ANZAC Day ( doing Dawn Service / March etc. )

Link to Dining Rewards gone from my logged in page.

Went directly to typed in URL. Was able to commence booking.

Found that there was no Club rooms available ( using the 25% off voucher ).

Went to IHG Member Rewards booking page, and found the Club room I wanted at a 30% discounted rate !!

Not the first time I noticed that Dining Rewards 25% off voucher was bloody useless ( compared to other rates, where you didn't need a voucher ) !!!

Remember those 25% off certs are off the Flex rate, so a 30% discount is something else.

I just used my 25% cert in AKL and actually handed it over and they looked at me like "Well wtf is this?" but just said "OK I'll attach it to the portfolio...

still a pity DR has gone.
