There are 8 participating hotels in Victoria, NSW & Queensland:

If you book one of these hotels by 1 October 2024 and add "Hush Trip" in the special requests field, you'll get some extra freebies (e.g. free drinks). Plus, if you show proof that your boss found out you're at the hotel you get 50,000 IHG One Rewards points. This is limited to the first 50 people.

Here's what the T&Cs say about this:

• The eligibility period is exclusively from 29 July 2024 until 1 October 2024, or until the first 50 eligible vouchers have been redeemed

• How to enter: during the eligibility period, guests who have opted in to the Hush Trip must send an email to [email protected] containing proof that their boss has caught them out on a hush trip. Eligible proof includes a screenshot of an email or screenshot of a text message. Eligible entrants will receive 50,000 IHG One Rewards points. Note: no correspondence will be entered into beyond the guest and IHG

• How to claim: eligible guests must email [email protected] during the eligibility period, and must provide their full name, reservation confirmation number and IHG One Rewards number to facilitate the deposit of the 50,000 points. IHG One Rewards vouchers will be issued via email within SEVEN (7) working days after the email has been received

Surely it wouldn't be that hard to get your boss to send you an email or SMS?

A strange promo but probably an easy 50,000 IHG points (worth roughly $300-500) if you can be bothered.

Interesting marketing campaign but the clause “ The eligibility period is exclusively from 29 July 2024 until 1 October 2024, or until the first 50 eligible vouchers have been redeemed” is a deal killer.

The promo was available a day ago so they easily could have hit 50 eligible redemptions already. But IHG are not obliged to tell you if or when all 50 redemptions are fulfilled. So their cunning plan is to assume guests will assume the eligibility window is the eligibility period and not pay too much attention to the max 50 redemptions. Guests will book on the assumption that the promo is still valid and will not receive the 50K points.

I feel like most people will just tell their boss about it and ask for an email. Kind of like asking the doctors for a sick note.
