HI All,

I am IHG gold booked hotel through FC (Flight Centre) Do I get IHG points & benefits?

Has anyone ever been into that situation if so what's better way to contact IHG customer service or Hotel directly

Hotel bookings through bricks and mortar TAs, usually qualify for stays (points and benefits).

Try putting the booking reference into the IHG website to see if they recognises it and link it to your IHG number.

Thanks @SYD I called IHG third party bookings are not eligible for any status recognition which is quite frustrating

Bookings made via the GDS usually qualify in my experience. Depends how FC placed your booking. Do you pay on checkout?

No I don't pay at property it's all paid thru FC
Ah, then it’s possible it was booked via its own in-house or another accommodation consolidator, and therefore the booking isn’t eligible for IHG bennies.

Amex or Virtuoso bookings are eligible but places such as Luxury Escapes are not. Our TA is a stand alone agent and our one booking through them qualified at a Hilton. We couldn't book direct saying it was sold out but she could get it done.
