I really dislike the adds on the windows of the doom J lounges. I could understand them in the QP,but I really think it lowers the tone of the place. I saw them earlier in the year but I have really noticed them in the past few days. (Most of my travel is international).

Maybe its because I like looking out the window. *Shrug*

I do look out the windows of the lounges quite often but have not noticed any sort of advertising.

Perhaps I am focusing on what I want to see rather than what Qantas wants me to see. ;)

I hadnt seen them before the trip last week out of SYD and they look awful.

You cannot look out the window of the one that has the ad, not in BNE yet but in SYD it's very obvious, it's directly in view as you turn left to walk along the food area and would be at least 2m x 2m I am guessing.

To play devils advocate.....the ads are providing QF revenue which in turn makes the clubs more viable and keeps us in booze and food.

I have noticed them but it is like complaining about ads on TV, would we rather pay for TV (or more for pay TV) or put up with some ads to keep it free (or cheaper).

My view is it just lowers the value of a premium product a bit.

I will probably be the odd one out, but I was raised on the BBC and then having to watch Channels 7, 9 and 10 in Australia, and ABC, NBS, and CBS in the US I'll pay the extra.

If these ads are what I think they are, they have come and gone over a decade or more.

Personally I don't like them, but having noted that, I really don't notice them these days. Have a look at the ads/article ratio in the Qantas inflight-magazines. I hardly even notice them anymore.

I was in SYD on Sunday (3 days ago) and did not notice anything and I walked straight along the food area to get a soft drink from the bar. If the ads are as big as you say then obviously they are not important enough for me to notice. ;)

I shall make a point of staring at the ads for a few minutes on Sunday to see if they annoy me in any way.

I dont think they are targeted at you, here is a photo from ABT

Kailis is not something the average man would notice unless they are in need of a lot of brownie points.
