I'm flying in to Rome at the end of September, arriving at FCO at 10am on a Sunday (QF5).

I'm then travelling by train up to Rimini (a little past Bologna). I haven't yet booked my train ticket.

Anyone got any experience of what the kind of time I'm looking at for immigration etc at FCO? What would be your minimum buffer for the purposes of booking an onward train ticket?

A couple of days ago I went through passport control at FCO, around 10 pm, and it took all of 2 minutes. But, of course, it is very time sensitive.

In the morning, when you are battling with all the arrivals from the USA, it could take a while longer. I'd allow at least 1 hour to get to landside.
