Hi all,
Meant to be flying out to India with the missus on Friday morning however having major panics as her visa has not yet been approved/provided (she's a US citizen) .
Unfortunately we weren't on top of things and only lodged late last week hence it falls outside their "standard processing time"
We have had no luck pleading with the vfs service provider (visas have been outsourced by the consulate) and a phone call to the consulate also directed us back to Vfs.
Whilst I appreciate this is entirely our fault for lodging too late, they turned around my aussie passport in a day, so I don't quite understand why a USA passport would take 10 working days.
Does anyone have any further suggestions on what we might want to try to get the visa expedited? We have completed their 'fast track' form however this apparently is not an emergency visa, which is only available for sickness etc.
Many thanks in advance
