Require one night in Singapore to connect between international flights. Without too much hassel and cost.. looking for a hotel recommendation near airport?

How long between flights … and have you looked into the cost of the air-side hotel so you don’t need to spend potentially a total of hours getting out & back in again?

There is a Aerotel at Changi - it may not be the cheapest you’ll find but consider the transport expense and time of going outside the airport

Depends on when you arrive and how long you have. If you have anything more than 8h I'd go into the main city. Its 20min drive o

Most near the airport are pricier from memory.

Singapore is the one airport and location where I actively tell people to go landside if time allows. Its seemless (literally less than 10 minutes to transition airside to landside both directions) and there's so much to do even at the airport landside.

^ Took us 1.5hrs to get landside at Changi, only done it once so assumed that was normal!
The way back was really quick, but again sample-of-one, my wife was QF P so we went through the Super Special security/checkin where you sit on couches & there’s no waiting - didn’t really see the pleb queue sizes.

If the hotels in the terminals (see posts above) are full or too pricey, you might consider the Grand Mercure Roxy. it’s half the distance from going all the way into town and it’s not that expensive and it’s a relatively good 3 1/2 to 4 star hotel. Pretty quick and easy to get to by taxi as well.

Singapore and inexpensive isn't really a thing these days.

For that long a stay I'd be going into the city. The airside windowless boxes are only really useful for much shorter stays.
Slightly closer would be the hotels around Changi Village like Changi Cove.

Not knowing how many in your group or young kids etc or how much luggage.. hard to narrow down

With young kids I would pick Crowne Plaza even though it's expensive

Think few cheap hotels around Changi village too

If just yourself or with +1, there are plenty of Ibis Budget hotels sprinkled around SIN. I’ve not checked which ones are close to the metro but I’m sure there are several.

The metro (MRT) is cheap, efficient and extensive. No need to stuff around with tickets just tap contactless payment and you’re off.

Given the length of your stay, the Ibis Bencoolen (costs a little more than an Ibis Budget) is downtown and relatively close to an MRT. You can easily get to plenty hawker markets or other things in town.

The Ibis Bencoolen is very popular so can be difficult to book. I took some advice here and stayed at the Mi Bencoolen instead. Very comfortable, smaller, good service. A few steps from the metro stop.

Whats your budget because I prefer paying extra to stay inside the airport, or the Crowne just outside, than travel to the city and back. The airport for 24hrs is a hell of a lot of fun

+1 for this hotel ✈️ 🍾 🥂 🌎 ✌️
