Hi all

I have organised a family holiday (grandparents x2, Me, Mrs Flying Fox and the twin Flying Foxes (18mth old)) in August and I have some questions for those of you who have travelled with infants before through SYD International.

We are flying ADL - SYD - HNL. Stopover in SYD is 6hrs (no better connections I'm afraid). I was wondering -

1. Can you borrow prams at SYD (ours will be checked through to HNL)?

2. Can prams be pushed through and beyond Immigrations (I seem to recall a sign saying no trollies etc through Immigration last time I went but I wasn't paying much attention since I was travelling for work)?

3. Alternatively can we use our own prams at ADL airport, have them taken off us at the jetway and then collect them in SYD to used for the 6hrs and get them collected once again at the jetway for the HNL flight?

Thanks in advance for all your advice & assistance.

You can have your stroller checked to syd but you will have to collect it at the carousel at syd domestic. I personally would check it all the way through, then get a loan stroller from QF for use at T1 or 2 strollers in your case. Also there's these small foldable strollers you can buy which fold up really small which are great for travelling because they fold up small enough to take on board an a/c. However they're not good if your really tall people because you will have serious hunch back! I hope this helps

Also in answer to your question about taking strollers through immigration, you can however they can't be those huge 3 wheel jogger type ones because you can't check them in at the departure gate because they don't fit down the shute. If you do decide to take your own one it needs to be the "umbrella" type of stroller.

BTW this is assuming you guys are travelling with QF. Can't answer for Hawaiian airlines

Thanks for the reply.

Will follow your advice and check ours all the way through. Then will borrow QF ones in SYD.

We are flying Jetstar so your assumption is at least 50% correct.

Thanks heaps once again!
