Not sure if this has come up before. I am not a big drinker of beer or wine, but am one of (sugarless) soft drink. When I am given my meal for buying a flexi fare, I am offered a complimentary beer, wine or oj. I usually pass and ask for a soft drink, however an then asked to pony up for its cost.

I don't mind *cough* company *cough* paying for it, however Is it ironic that I get a free beer but can't substitute it for a Pepsi max?

Wow, really, no soft drinks on a flexi meal? My father is flying DJ on a flexi in a few weeks for the first time, because he wants to give them a go again after drifting away to QF a few years ago. As a militant teetotaller and a fairly vocal advocate for customer service, there's going to be an interesting conversation on board. I pity the ear of the complaints line operator once he disembarks!

I've only ever been offered juice, coffee or tea. Not too worried about the beer and wine, but a soft drink would be nice - save me bringing my own!

I ask for Pepsi Max too. Most times i get it on a flexi, but still have to have a discussion about it. Cmon DJ, include soft drink please!
